Cable Beach Broome

Year-round Attraction
Cable Beach with its tropical climate has become in recent years a drawcard for visitors and it is known by many as one of Western Australia's most popular beaches. The weather is excellent throughout the year usually around the 30 degrees Celsius.
How to get there
Perhaps the only thing against Cable Beach in Broom and many other beach destinations in Australia is the travel distance, located as it is on the western coast of Western Australia. So the best way to get there is by flying from Darwin, Alice Springs, Port Hedland and Perth.
The closest city hub to Broome is Perth and It takes two and a half hours to fly from Perth to Broome.
If instead you prefer to drive bear in mind that it could take you around 10 hours to drive from any of the major cities close to Broome such as Darwin or Perth.
Best Beach Holidays
Where exactly
Cable Beach is six kilometres from Broome Town Centre. Head north-westerly all along Cable Beach Road. Drive past Crocodile Park and follow the entrance road straight towards the beach.
Nude Beach
The northern side of Cable Beach beyond the rock is a popular nude bathing area. Access is possible by car but it is not recommended as you could get caught on the high tide.
Air and water activities
Tandem freefall skydiving is available at Cable Beach, as is parasailing, Surfboards and other beach and water equipment are available for hire, fishing and rainforest tours are available.
